Wii Boxing - Andy Attempt
This short video was shot after I had already played a few rounds of Wii Boxing, I was used to the controls and the punches that I was throwing felt like they were becoming a lot more accurate. I think that my stance and technique is interesting when compared to Becky's.
My punches are thrown rapidly, I appear to be totally focussed on the screen and in contrast to Becky I am not smiling or laughing. I appear to be taking the game a lot more seriously. The focus certainly seems to be on winning rather than he novelty of the game, my stance and frequency of punches make my game play fairly aggressive as I become for engrossed in the game. It is worth noting that this game has become my favorite so far although, as previously mentioned, I am finding it increasingly frustrating.
I also play out the action of bouncing on my toes as Becky did in one of the previous clips - again, I need to review the other tapes to see whether this possibly stems from what the Mii character is doing on screen. The avoidance tactics (tilting the controllers left and right) were experimental at this stage and were only carried out when I remembered that the action was possible. This video does not give me any further insight into the reasons for me currently finding Wii Boxing inaccurate and frustrating. I might ask Becky if I can play a match using her Mii to see whether it is noticably easier playing with a Mii that has earned fewer points/is not t the 100 point Pro level.
